Adoration for Beginners

November 24, 2017

Being in a room with a monstrance that holds our Lord in the Eucharist, with no noise or even looking at your phone for an hour can sound scary. Right? Even though we weren't able to be there, one of the biggest takeaways people have from NCYC is being in Lucas Oil, a huge football stadium, with 20,000+ people staring at the same monstrance, is something that cannot be described with words.

So is it scary? It can be if you've never gone before. At St. Vincent we've been blessed with an adoration chapel that's open 24/7 (literally), and it's been that way for 13 years.

How can you get the most out of it? For starters, check out this article: https://lifeteen.com/blog/a-beginners-guide-to-adoration/

After have let it sink in, think about how your family could maybe take an hour; a family that prays together will stay together, and the blessings you get from adoration can't be put in words.
